Preparing for decisions, making them, and communicating their rationale and implications is what a leader does. Growth Platform is all about making it easier to lead how you want to. The tools in this collection organize the process of deciding to hire an associate, as well as a solid structure for mentoring them once you do. Most of these tools are discussed in their own section of the pdf ebook.

The Conflict Buster is a tool we have developed to use privately in advance of conversations you aren’t looking forward to. Aversion to tough conversations is overcome by preparing to respond to the things you don’t want to hear. Print it out or use it as a guide for your own notes as you prepare for the conversations with your partners, team, or anyone else, and use to set agendas or guide you during meetings and calls.
Deciding When Starts with a Worksheet Key to jumpstart your thinking. Then there are three worksheets: Deciding When helps you question your assumptions, organize variables, discover unknowns, and move into the action stage. What You Can Provide is the worksheet for exploring and quantifying exactly what you can expect to get from the talent pool, based on what you can provide. Other Perspectives asks you to take a look from outside your own point of view to reveal more about what hiring an associate will look like in reality, and what it will take to make it work.
The Right Fit Interview has an Interview Key that helps you use the scoring sheet and jumpstart your thinking. Explaining the rubric is meant to help guide the conversation so don’t rush. Let the conversation flow as you walk them through how to use the tool. The 4Block Roles: Dentists is an example of how we each role performs in the total Patient Experience Design at our practice, and is shared here to use as is or to inspire your own thoughts about how doctors in your practice should think about their role in providing your patients with the experiences you want them to have.
