Here are some of Dr MacInnis’s perspectives in response to the prevailing knowledge that we all encounter in conversations with with fellow dentists, other business owners, and the platitudes and chestnuts shared in blog posts and business books.

After almost 40 years in dentistry, and after 15 years as an entrepreneur in other fields, Dr MacInnis felt that many assumptions behind the conventional wisdom in practice management were oddly out of sync with his experience of successfully delivering on the demands of patients and staff, and that some of the language in business books and podcasts, while poetic and memorable, sometimes obscured simple and concrete clarity.
