EAs: Yours and Ours

EAs: Yours and Ours

Patient and Process Outcomes and Effective Actions

We’re happy to share the EAs we uncovered with you, and we think they will be applicable to your practice.

You may apply them, run them through and change them, only to discover that all that happened was that the wording was changed as a result of discussion and discovery around them. This is natural. Often all a Team needs to do is to digest a directive, try to follow it, kick it around, and put in in their own terms. This is exactly how it should be.

In addition to sharing the Effective Actions we’ve inferred from our experience, because the EA method is a process, not a curriculum, we encourage you to keep this active aspect of the method in mind as you read this material and consider applying it. The process by which your Team works together to train themselves and develop their understanding IS the learning process. This kind of practical learning, done over time, with the social components of mentoring and discussion, is the way to coordinate effort of many autonomous people by keying into their intrinsic motivation.

Feel free to start by using our EAs, but, as long as the results are happening as your patients require, allow the discussion to result in changes in perspective, emphasis or wording.

Over time, as you define and redefine your business goals and your patients needs, and work backward or upstream to develop your own EAs, they will take on the spirit and character of the people who work in the practice. This is very satisfying, natural, and also as it should be.
